Mail Server Status  Reply with quote

Currently, all email services are not accepting connections. The file server that all mailservers share is currently seeing a very high load. We are working to determine the cause and fix this as soon as possible. An update will be posted when we have more info to share.

The mailserver has returned to normal. We are currently working with the hardware vender to ensure this problem does not appear again.

We are continuing to closely monitor the file server and run various diagnostics on it to ensure everything is running correctly. Any tests that might impact performance will not be run until the late evening hours. We are not expecting anything to happen that would be noticable by users, but in case there is some slowdown or timeouts late at night, this is due to testing and diagnostics being run on the servers. To also help cut down on any impact, we have added 1 more POP3 server and 1 more webmail server.

We are currently running some diagnostics on the mailservers. You may see some timeouts during this period that will effect POP, SMTP, Cpanel and webmail. We are not sure how long these will take to complete, but it should not be much more than 1 hour.

The diagnostics took longer to run than expected.
Everything is now back to normal.

Early this morning (April 22), we may be performing more diagnostics and running more tests in the very early AM. This may result in pop, webmail and cpanel giving timeouts. This shouldn't last more that 1 hour and we will post here when/if we will be running these.
